1. Information We Collect

We collect the following types of information to provide and improve our personal finance analysis services:

2. Gmail Data Collection

When you connect your Google account, Unyfy reads your bank transaction emails to automatically categorize your spending. We only access emails from known banking senders, we do not read personal or non-financial emails. This data is used solely for personal finance analysis and providing you with insights on your spending patterns.

3. SMS Data Collection

On the Android app, Unyfy reads bank SMS alerts to capture transactions that your email might miss. We only parse transactional SMS from banks and financial institutions, we never read personal messages. This ensures a complete view of your financial activity.

5. Data Storage & Security

Your data is securely stored in India

All your data is stored securely on AWS servers located in India, ensuring compliance with Indian data protection regulations.

8. Data Retention

We retain your information only as long as needed to provide the service. When you request account deletion, your personal data, Gmail and SMS data, and all derived insights are removed. Records of completed payments and transactions are retained for 8 years to meet Indian financial regulatory requirements, and are permanently deleted after that period.

9. Account & Data Deletion

How to delete your account

You can delete your Unyfy account at any time. Email support@unyfy.co.in from your registered email address with the subject line "Delete My Account". We process all deletion requests within 30 days.

What we delete: your name, email address, phone number, Google account connection and access tokens, all parsed SMS and email data, transaction history, spending insights, credit score data, and push notification tokens. Your Gmail access is revoked immediately.

What we keep: records of completed payments, voucher purchases, and gold transactions are retained for 8 years as required by Indian financial regulations, after which they are permanently deleted.

11. Google API Services User Data Policy & AI Disclosure

Limited Use

Unyfy's use of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. In particular:

✓Gmail data is used only to provide and improve the user-facing features of Unyfy that you have chosen to use.
✓Gmail data is not transferred to third parties except as necessary to provide those features, to comply with applicable law, or as part of a merger or acquisition with notice to you.
✓Gmail data is never used or transferred for advertising purposes.
✓Gmail data, whether raw, aggregated, anonymised or derived, is never used to create, train or improve any generalised or foundational machine-learning or AI model, whether our own or a third party's.
✓Humans do not read your Gmail data except with your explicit consent, for security or abuse investigation, or to comply with applicable law.

AI features

Unyfy includes an in-app assistant ("Ask Unyfy") that can answer questions about your own finances. It runs on Amazon Bedrock inside Unyfy's own AWS account in the Mumbai (ap-south-1) region. When you ask a question, the assistant receives only your question and the derived financial figures needed to answer it, such as category totals, balances and due dates. Raw emails, SMS content, OAuth tokens and personal identifiers are never sent to the model.

Amazon Bedrock does not store prompts or responses, does not share them with the model provider, and does not use them to train or improve any model. Unyfy does not train, fine-tune or improve any AI model using your data, and does not permit any third party to do so.

Transaction extraction and categorisation described in Sections 2 and 3 do not use AI models; they use rule-based parsing on our own servers.
